Vlad Shmunis

Chief Executive Officer, Founder, and Chairman of the Board at RingCentral

Vlad Shmunis founded RingCentral in 1999 and launched RingCentral's cloud business phone service in 2003. He developed the service based on the need he saw among businesses for an alternative to inflexible and expensive hardware-based phone systems.

Since founding RingCentral, Shmunis has led the company in reimagining business communications. Today, the company empowers hundreds of thousands of businesses and their employees to work with unparalleled freedom and in imaginative new ways, via a wide variety of mobile and fixed line devices in traditional as well as dispersed work environments.

Shmunis has more than 25 years of industry and management experience. Prior to launching RingCentral, he founded and served as the CEO of Ring Zero Systems, a desktop software communications company. After shipping more than 25 million copies of its Windows software through partnerships with leading PC manufacturers, Ring Zero Systems was acquired by Motorola.

Shmunis was named the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year® 2011 Northern California Award finalist. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in computer science from San Francisco State University and is a named inventor in a number of U.S. patents.

Rob Theis

General Partner at World Innovation Lab

Rob Theis is a General Partner at World Innovation Lab. Recent investments include BrightRoll, BirdEye, Digital Shadows, DocuSign, Fortinet, HubSpot, and RingCentral. Rob has invested in over 24 companies creating an aggregate capitalization of $18 billion with six IPOs and 11 acquisitions. Rob spent his earlier career in operating roles as an early employee for Silicon Graphics (SGI) as Product Manager. At Sun Microsystems for 10 years, he held various executive positions accelerating growth in different business units. Afterwards, Rob became Executive Vice President at New Era of Networks, took it public and grew the business to $200 million revenue in four years. Rob has a BA in economics and computer science from University of Pittsburgh.

R. Neil Williams

Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Intuit

R. Neil Williams became Intuit’s senior vice president and chief financial officer in January 2008 to January 2018. Williams has nearly 30 years of strategic, operational, and transactional experience in the financial services industry. He is responsible for all financial aspects of the company, including corporate strategy and business development, investor relations, financial operations, and real estate.

Before joining Intuit, Williams was the executive vice president and chief financial officer for Visa U.S.A., Inc. In that role, he led all financial functions for the company and its subsidiaries, including financial planning, business planning, and financial monitoring. Williams concurrently served as chief financial officer for Inovant LLC, Visa's global information technology organization, responsible for global transactions processing and technology development.

His previous banking experience includes senior financial positions at commercial banks in the Southern and Midwestern regions of the United States.

Williams, a certified public accountant, received his bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Michelle McKenna

Chief Information Officer at the NFL

Michelle McKenna joined the NFL as Chief Information Officer in September 2012. Prior to that, she was Chief Information Officer at Constellation Energy, where she implemented major technology strategic initiatives and led the company’s integration with Exelon upon the firm’s merger. From 2007 to 2010, she was SVP and Chief Information Officer at Universal Orlando Resort. She previously spent more than 13 years at the Walt Disney World Company where she held senior leadership positions in finance, marketing, and information technology.

Allan Thygesen

President of the Americas at Google

Allan is Google’s President of the Americas, responsible for the advertising business in North and South America. Previously, Allan led Google Marketing Solutions, the global mid-market and small advertiser business, which serves millions of customers and agencies.

Before joining Google in 2010, Allan was a Managing Director and Partner in the US venture and growth funds of the Carlyle Group, where he led investments in e-commerce, mobile advertising, and imaging startups. Earlier, Allan served as EVP, Sales and Business Development at Wink Communications, which he helped take public in 1999. Before Wink, he worked in sales, marketing, customer service, and finance management roles at various technology companies in the US and Denmark.

Allan received a master’s degree in economics from the University of Copenhagen and an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business as an Arjay Miller scholar. He lives in the Bay Area with his wife and four children.

Kenneth A. Goldman

Board Member

Kenneth Goldman brings extensive financial leadership experience to RingCentral through numerous executive and board of director roles at enterprise technology companies.

He recently served as Chief Financial Officer at Yahoo! overseeing all global finance functions for the company. Prior to Yahoo!, Goldman served in chief financial officer roles for several enterprise technology companies including Fortinet and Siebel Systems. Goldman serves on the board of directors of NXP Semiconductor, Trinet, GoPro, Inc., and non-profit boards such as the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Foundation Board. Goldman is also a member of the Standing Advisory Group of the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board.

Kenneth’s depth and breadth of experience in scaling multiple technology companies will prove invaluable as RingCentral grows and meets global customers’ communications and collaboration needs. His leadership will support RingCentral’s goal of achieving one billion dollars in revenue by 2020.
